2010 Met Costume Institute Gala: Part III

Now for the worst dressed. I take no pleasure in telling people they look awful. Actually, that's a lie. All of these ladies need to fire their stylists.

Carey Mulligan in Miu Miu - I'm tired of her mod look. She needs a new look.

Demi Moore - Just no.

Elizabeth Banks - The dress is cute but the lace tights made this look too busy. There is such a thing as too much lace.

Gisele Bundchen in Alexander Wang - Even a supermodel can't pull off a leather fringed mini dress. Eww.

Janet Jackson in Lanvin - Don't try and distract me with your giant breasts. This dress is not working for you, honey.

January Jones in Yves Saint Laurent - The dress is actually really cute but the styling with the gloves, matronly pulled back hair and terrible make-up makes this look altogether unsightly.

Joy Bryant in Marchesa - I just want to rip off those sleeves.

Karolina Kurkova in Altuzarra - Pretty model, ugly dress, wrong shoes.

Katy Perry in Cute Circuit - Usually she's always on my best dressed lists but this light-up monstrosity is definitely not helping her win any fashion points. First of all, it looks too big on her and there are wayyyy too many ruffles.

Kristen Stewart in Chanel - She is a permanent member of my worst-dressed list. The dress is not terrible but she has absolutely no idea how to stand, have proper posture or look like a woman.

Lily Collins in Chanel - This one is totally the dress's fault. Just plain ugly.

Maggie Gyllenhaal in Louis Vuitton - This dress has too much dark fabric for such a small pale girl. I am not a fan of gothic-chic.

Malin Akerman - The dress is totally fab but is also totally inappropriate for the event. Boho-chic does not translate well on the red carpet.

M.I.A. in Alexander Wang - Learn how to stand and lose the pout.

Rachel Bilson in Louis Vuitton - Wasn't crazy about this dress at all.

Rosario Dawson in Giambattista Valli - Easily the worst dressed of the evening. Not only is the dress atrocious but did she even put make-up on? One hot mess.

Vera Farmiga in Sophie Theallet - Close second for the fugliest dress of the night.

2010 Met Costume Institute Gala: Part II

Alright, now on to some color! After Jennifer Lopez, my second pick for best dressed was model Coco Rocha. The long Zac Posen gown with the over-the-top train would've been a trainwreck on anyone else but she made it on my best dressed list because the woman was born to model. She knows how to work a garment and looked stunning in this gown.

After neutral tones, blue was a hot color of the evening and I loved Blake Lively's and Chloe Sevigny's youthful take on gala attire with their short yet appropriate frocks.
